#ComeClean with Seventh Generation!
I have a right to know what’s in the products I buy! And So Do YOU!
Have you even thought about what's in them? Do you realize what some of your favorite cleaners are really doing to your health? Well now it's time we learn the truth, the whole truth. What's in our products? What are we exposing ourselves, our families, our environment too?!?
Help us to air out the cleaning products company's "dirty laundry." Seventh Generation and Myself and many others, are supporting the Cleaning Product Right to Know Act (H.R. 5205), which requires that manufacturers of both consumer household and industrial cleaning products would have to disclose ALL intentionally-added ingredients, including fragrance, on the labels on every product and even on their own websites. And that means EVERY ingredient! No matter how long the list, we deserve to know. That way we can make better, more informed decisions on the products we want to use and make decisions on what we will let our families be exposed to.
Fragrances can mean over 3,000 different chemicals?!? Seriously?!? That's just crazy. That's 3,000 other ingredients we don't know about and that we are introducing into our systems. :(
Companies are fighting this because of laziness, fear, and because they don't want us to know what's really in their products! And, currently, they are not required by law, to disclose ingredients in the products they sell in the U.S. Because of this, we have very little information about what we are being exposed to in products we use to clean our homesite and how these ingredients are effecting us. Other countries have disclosure laws, so why don't we?!?
Cleaning products can contain hidden toxic chemicals which may be seriously harmful to your health and can cause infertility and breast cancer and other health problems.
We have a right to know what is in these products and how exposure can affect us! That’s why Congress must pass the Cleaning Product Right to Know Act and that won't happen without YOUR HELP! So PLEASE send a message asking your representative to support your right to know by co-sponsoring the Cleaning Product Right to Know Act.
I recently got a coupon book full of coupons for $$ off Seventh Generation products. I was so excited. I love them. And they have a whole line of products including diapers, wipes, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, and lots more.
You can read my other blog post and find out How you can Apply to Host a #HealthyBabyHome Party and try free products that do disclose their ingredients and are good and safe for you, your family and the environment!
This post is Sponsored by Seventh Generation and any info on products is my own opinions and I did receive them free as party of the #GenerationGood community!
