One thing I loved was that on each dip mix box is a flap, where inside, they include recipes you can use that mix with. Like on the Roasted Chipotle and Garlic mix box, they included recipes for a Chipotle Chicken Casserole as well as the dip recipe. I also like the idea of the Mini Meatloaves Wrapped included bacon recipe from the Cheddar and Bacon Dip box. I am actually planning on making that for a Sunday dinner now, so I definitely have to order more of these.

We tried the Cheddar and Bacon Dip and the Caramelised onion dip.
The gourmet chips tasted great, with lots of crunch and lots of flavor. They went fast, so I am glad I had bought a variety of extra chips and breads just in case!

Most of my guests commented on the delicious taste of the dip and the fact that they liked that these were more than dips. They liked that you can use them in recipes such as a chicken pot pie or crab cakes or soups, etc. I ended up making copies of some of the recipes for my friends to try as well as giving a few of the dips to them to take home and try.

The rich, full flavor and the consistency of the dips made it so delicious. It didn't taste like your average store bought dip. It felt fancy, like we were at a fancy restaurant.

And the best part for me, besides the delicious dips of course, was the baking dishes! They are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe. And such a bright, and warming red color! I love them. And my friends and family were so jealous!

I did suggest in my final survey that maybe next time, they could make up some more common type dips like a ranch dip or a garlic dip that are more plain if the people are not into the crab and artichoke flavoring. You can still make a fancy dip out of those too. My kids and some of my family and friends were not interested in trying the crab and artichoke dips.

A little history on the Gourmet du Village company: Mike and Linda Tottenham started making their own special blends in 1982 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It started as a hobby and enjoyment of cooking, but soon became something they would take to local markets and fairs, and is now and "cottage industry." They now provide gourmet dips and mixes to all across Canada and the United States and they have won several awards over the last 30 years from National and Canadian food shows.
